This
oblong composition is a tightly cropped Belgian 1939 Gasmask,
I got it when I went back to visit once in Brussels. I find
it kind of weird and decided to create a painting with it.
Well, like with all objects there's nothing scary about
them,it's just the way it is SEEN...like beauty; it's in
the eye of the beholder, same thing for this it's just the
WAY one paints the object that makes it creepy...and...
I hope it will be! :-)

composition verticale est un masque-a-gas Belge de 1939,
je l'ai ramené de retour d'une de mes visites passées
a Bruxelles. Je le trouve étrange et j'ai décidé
d'en faire une peinture. Bien que comme tout objets, il
n'y a rien d'éffrayant dans l'objet lui-meme, c'est
simplement comment on le perçoit. C'est simplement
la façon dont on le représente qui le fait
'creepy' ou 'inquiétant'..et..j'espere que ce le
sera...:-)
