For me, the Tarot of Marseille is a fabulous source of inspiration.

I consider it primarily as a wonderful expression of popular art, and value it not for its divinatory aspects but rather for the astonishing wealth of its symbols. As a game played for money, winning depended on the possession of trump cards known as "atouts" or "major arcana".

I plan to interpret these images myself, basing my work at least to some extent on the original compositions. There are 22 "major arcana", and my work has just begun, so this page will have regular updates.
